Good afternoon church family,
I hope and pray that you’re enjoying a very happy Easter weekend. I’m looking forward to the great joy we share in gathering tomorrow to celebrate Resurrection Sunday. I have no doubt we will have a wonderful time honoring the Lord together and rejoicing in His goodness toward us.
Join us at 9:30 a.m. for prayer group and fellowship groups. The young adults class and the youth class will both be meeting, but the class Dwight is teaching on the Holy Spirit will not meet tomorrow. Our worship service will begin at 10:45 a.m. as usual.
Our focus passage tomorrow is Philippians 3:1–11, where we consider the Apostle Paul’s call to trade our rags for resurrection life in Jesus. In this passage Ministerial chat or something Paul begs the question: How do we attain the resurrection life in Christ? By God’s grace, we will see a clear answer as we engage His Word together. May He give us grace to open our hearts to Him and explore this truth in earnest. May everyone who joins us for worship be abundantly blessed.
I’m praying that the Father grants you grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ on this Holy Saturday. Remember that on this day in history, the cold and lifeless body of our Lord lay in the tomb for your sake. To redeem us, Christ truly suffered, died, and later rose. Our present and future thriving are directly tied to His pain, His suffering, and His ultimate victory through the resurrection.
I love and appreciate you all. See you tomorrow.
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
Philippians 3:10–11 (CSB) — My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.
