TCF Update – Happy New Year

Greetings and Announcements:

A blessed new year to all and to your families. As we turn the page from 2025 and from Christmas into the season of Epiphany this Sunday (the manifestation of the glory of God and salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ to all peoples of the world, we are blessed and give thanks to God. We also join together in prayer and worship for our congregation, our nation and our world.

We can look back on this past year and see much turbulence and uncertainty, much violence and tragedy around our world and here at home. Yet we also see the stirrings of the Holy Spirit, especially in generation Z with signs of awakening and increased spiritual hunger, in particular more are reading the Bible. We see arenas and stadiums filled with worshiping young adults, and public baptisms, and we pray that this is a sign a revival, even as we pray that young adults will also fill the church along with young families who will offer their lives for the King and seek the kingdom of God.

There will be prayer tonight, Wednesday, and opportunity for testimonies at Serve Coffee and Community, from 6 to 7 PM.

Reminder the deacons will host breakfast for all at 8:30, this Sunday morning.

Please mark your calendar for the men’s breakfast on Sat, Jan 17, with Pastor Dennis Cole. There will also be time for ladies with Sheila Cole to be arranged. They will meet with folks Sunday morning and minister followed by our monthly fellowship meal on Sunday, Jan 18.

We have much to look forward to in the New Year, including prayer meeting being moved from Sunday morning to Wednesday nights, 7-8PM, beginning later in the month, and following the Bible Study and prayer for members and requests each Wednesday from 6-7PM.

As elders we are grateful for the grace of God in each you, for your generosity to us, and we pray God’s increase in each of you and through.

Barbara and Joyce have been working diligently to complete the year in good financial stewardship and again we praise God for your faithfulness in tithes and offerings. We will have a full congregational business meeting in about a month.

Again we want to express appreciation to all our deacons and deaconesses and those who minister each Sunday morning in prayer (Beth), Bible study (Joy), music (Levi and team), ushers, and to new greeters beginning in the New Year, children’s ministry team and youth ministry (Ryan), sound and projection (Bryan, Lonnie, Rebecca), hospitality (Norma), those ministering to our new friends in the deaf community, the men who care for our building and grounds, and many others.

Glory to God; Greater is Thy Faithfulness.

BTW: if you have not joined Tulakes Covenant Fellowship Facebook or the Signal App for church communication we urge you to do that together.

Grace and peace in the love of God to you all.

Dwight
