TCF Update 12/06/25

Good afternoon Church family,

My update post is coming a little late today due to having so many things going on. I’m at Serve right now, as we are participating in the Bethany Hometown Christmas event this afternoon. It’s always a joy to be able to represent our church by providing wonderful coffee drinks and caring interactions with everyone who walks in the door.

I’m looking forward to our time together tomorrow morning! Our gathering together each Sunday is a grace from the Lord to each of us. I pray that we will never discount this blessing, as God’s plan to build up the church is the church. Join us at 9:30am for Sunday School groups and at 10:45am for worship.

Our focus Bible passage for tomorrow is Malachi 1:6-2:9. In this passage the Lord calls his people back to true worship. I believe we will be encouraged by the word the Lord has for us, and that our fellowship will be strengthened as we consider the high calling on our lives to root all that we are in Christ. The season of Advent serves as a regular reminder to us that God gave us his best so that he can raise us up to himself. Now we have the privilege and joy of giving God our best in honor of who he is and what he’s done for us. Doing so feeds our own hearts more than we even know.

We continue to pray for Gloria Bohn as she has spent some time in the hospital this week after a medical scare. I believe that the Lord has responded to our prayers, and has once again preserved her life. We give him praise for this! We also pray for Jan Lack’s daughter Kathy Dudley as she has been dealing with a skin cancer issue. Be sure to check the prayer list at church tomorrow so that you can stay up to date on everyone we are praying for. On top of this, as always I encourage you to pray for each one of our church members as the Lord brings them to mind. I’ve learned over the years that when someone pops into my mind, that is often a prompt from the Lord to pray for them. I have a habit of praying intentionally for many from our church on Saturdays. I love you all, and it is a joy for me to interceed in prayer for you. If you have any prayer needs please send them to us. Deacon Hal keeps our list up to date.

I pray that you have had a good Saturday. I know that I have as I have enjoyed time with the Lord, with my family, and with my friends at Serve. May you rest easy tonight as you lay your head down, and may the grace and peace of the Lord overshadow your life.

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

Malachi 1:11 ESV — “For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.”
