TCF Update 11/08/25

Good afternoon Church family,

I hope that today finds you well, and that you were experiencing the blessing of rest on this beautiful Saturday. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day! That means we have the privilege of gathering together as the church of Jesus. I look forward to being together with you.

This coming Tuesday is Veterans’ Day. Tomorrow we will be honoring our military veterans. We appreciate all who have served in our armed forces. Your willingness to put your life on the line for the sake of others, is a beautiful and living object lesson which reflects the heart of Christ for the world. Thank you for your service!

John 15:13 CSB — “No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends.”

Tomorrow, right after the church service, we will have a wedding shower for Brandon and Emilie Farkas. Brandon and Emilie have been a part of our church family for many years, and they recently were married. It is a blessing to be able to bless them. If you have any questions about this, reach out to Debbie O’Neil or to my lovely wife Stacey.

Tomorrow is also Ben Smith’s last day working for our church. We so appreciate the time he has put in, the effort, and his willingness to share his talent with all of us for the glory of God. If you would like to bless Ben, we will have a basket to receive gift cards, thank you notes, or anything you would want to give in order to bless him. Make sure you take time to show your love and appreciation to Ben tomorrow.

Be on the lookout tomorrow for the sign up sheet for our Thanksgiving feast which is coming up quickly. It’s hard to believe we are already coming up on Thanksgiving and Christmas! This time of the year reminds us, that Christ has come as our perfect example of what a perfect human is like. A perfect human is others-oriented, servant-hearted, Word-centered, Spirit-lead, and rooted in the love of the Father over and above everything else. May the heart of Christ be the thing that marks us, that particularly marks our church, as we move into this next season.

As always I encourage us to be remembering one another in prayer. There are many who are struggling through this season, particularly those who rely on government assistance for food. With the government shutdown there are many people who are struggling to make ends meet. If you are struggling please don’t hesitate to reach out. There are many in the church who would love to help you. Remember the sick and homebound also. As the Lord puts someone on your heart, I would encourage you to pray immediately. Often the thought of another person can be taken as a prompt from the Holy Spirit to pray for them.

May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you today. I hope that you will make it a priority to join us in the morning. Tomorrow is an exciting day for our church as our brother Jacob Williams will preach his first sermon! He is preaching on evangelism, which is his heart and I pray that the Lord will use him to grow the heart of our whole church toward Christ’s call to go out into the world and to make disciples of all people.

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

Luke 10:2 CSB — “He told them, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”
