NCF Update 06/07/25

Good afternoon Church family,

I trust that you are having a wonderful Saturday. I am looking forward to being with you tomorrow morning as we celebrate the Lord’s Day together. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for prayer and at 10:45 a.m. for worship service.

Our focus passage for tomorrow is Revelation 21:9-27. In this wonderful passage we get a glimpse of what the New Jerusalem will be like. As citizens of God’s holy city, we are encouraged by knowing that the sort of place that Christ will bring us into is wonderful in every way possible, but also that there is an important role for every Christian to play as we prepare for this future.

The women’s ministry gathering with the ladies of NCF and Tulakes went really well today. I think we had around 23 total women show up, a good number from each church. I know that some of our ladies were not able to make it and if that was you, you are certainly missed. I trust that there will be many more opportunities like this for us in the near future. I especially want to think Beth Walsh and Debbie O’Neil for all the work they put in to prepare for today. The discussion and fellowship were both very sweet. Thanks to everyone who was able to come out today!

Tomorrow after church we do have a brief congregational meeting followed by a short children’s ministry team meeting. We hope that each of you will plan into join us as we discuss some important business related to our life and ministry together as a church family. I am attaching a copy of our proposed edited church constitution to this message just in case you have not yet had a chance to look it over. We handed out copies last week, but I know that some of us were at Tulakes and others were traveling. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. We also plan to introduce Jacob Williams and Ryan Stephens as candidates from the elders for the office of Deacon to be voted upon at a later date. Along with this, the elders would like to formally announce our intention to license Jacob as a minister of the gospel now that he is officially on our staff. We have many wonderful things going on! We would love to have each one of you involved as we process these things together as a church.

May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you all. May you have time this afternoon to rest, and to reflect on all that the Lord has done for you this past week. No doubt, he has sustained us all. To be sure some days are better or easier than others, but it is often on the difficult days when we feel maxed out that we are most aware of the presence of the Lord in our lives. This is a grace, and I pray that every experience of his grace will draw us nearer to him and fill us with gratitude for all that he has done in and through us.

See you in the morning! I love and appreciate you all. I am extremely grateful to be your pastor.

In his steps,

Pastor Nick

Philippians 4:23 CSB — “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.”
