Church Update 2/28/26

Good afternoon Church family,

Grace and peace to you on this beautiful Saturday. I pray that you have found time to rest and enjoy the goodness of the Lord in your life. I look forward to gathering with you tomorrow on the Lord’s day!

Tomorrow morning, the deacons will be serving breakfast for our church family at 8:30am. All are welcome to join us for food and fellowship before we begin our classes. Our Fellowship Groups will begin at 9:30am as usual. Pastor Dwight is leading a study on the Holy Spirit, Beth Walsh is leading a group focused on prayer, Susan Kitzrow leads our young adults group, and Ryan Stephens leads our youth group. I would encourage everyone to come and connect with a Fellowship Group. Our goal with these is to continue moving our Sunday School hour forward towards learning, fellowship, and practical discipleship.

Our worship service will begin at 10:45am. Our focus passage for tomorrow morning is Philippians 1:27–2:8. We will be looking at Christ’s call to walk out our new identity in Him. In His grace, Christ has chosen to be our perfect example. He has not called us to do anything He was not willing to do Himself. We are blessed to have such a great High Priest, who has identified Himself with us in every way and yet without sin. Now He empowers us by His Spirit to live out the very pattern He modeled for us.

Let’s continue to remember one another in prayer. We especially pray for Pam Dihmes, that all of the infection will leave her body and that she will be ready for gallbladder surgery soon. We also pray for my grandmother Betty Cason who has been dealing with some anemia and feeling weak. Pray that swift solutions will be discovered by her doctors. We pray for Genie Narvaiz who continues to recover from her fall from several weeks ago. May the Lord restore her to full strength. We pray for Susan Kitzrow’s aunt, that she will have no further issues with cancer. There are many others within our fellowship and community with prayer needs. As always, whenever the Lord brings someone to mind that is a good reminder to pray for that person.

May you experience joy in the Holy Spirit as you walk through the rest of this Saturday. See you in the morning!

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

Philippians 2:1-4 CSB — “If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”
