Good afternoon Church family,
We have the great privilege of gathering together tomorrow morning as we celebrate the Lord’s Day! Our tradition of gathering on the first day of the week dates all the way back to the first century. Shortly after Christ rose from the dead, Christians began honoring Sunday as a special, weekly opportunity to remember that our Savior is indeed risen! I hope you will make it a priority to join us in the morning. What a great blessing it is when we gather in His name!
Each Sunday offers wonderful opportunities for fellowship. At 9:30 a.m., our various Fellowship Groups meet, followed by our worship service at 10:45 a.m. Tomorrow, our focal passage will be Romans 15:1–7, building on our recent sermon from Acts 2. As we continue exploring what it looks like to be a church filled with the Holy Spirit, we will look at how Spirit-filled living transforms the way we treat one another. I have no doubt we will be greatly blessed!
Please also be in prayer for Vacation Bible School, which kicks off this Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. (registration begins at 5:30 p.m.). All are welcome! If you haven’t already, please invite your friends, neighbors, and family members with children. Each evening from Monday through Friday, children from our community and our dedicated volunteers will gather at Tulakes Covenant Fellowship to learn about Jesus, the Light of the World.
Our theme this year is Illumination Station. We will focus on the truth that Christ is the light—and that through Him, we too are sent into the world as light. We don’t shine our own light, but the light Christ has placed in our hearts. Please pray that the Lord meets every child who walks through our doors, and that our adult volunteers grow deeper in their walk with Jesus as well.
May the grace and peace of the Lord be with each of you. I pray you find time to rest in Christ and reflect on His goodness on this lovely Saturday. I look forward to worshipping with you in the morning!
