“And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.””

Did you know that the Father wants to speak these words over you as He speaks them over Christ? How do I know this? Because He sent Christ in order to make you righteous in Him, that you might be adopted as a true son of His household with all of the family benefits vested within that reality. All of human brokenness and suffering in this world can be boiled down to one truth: we were made for God but we have divorced ourselves from Him. We will never find true peace, hope, love, stability, happiness, or joy apart from knowing God and being known by God. We can only be healed of our affliction by repenting from sin and turning towards Christ.
Restoration is something God does to us, not something we can do for ourselves through our own hard work. Of course we must join the Holy Spirit in participating with this work He does in us in order to see it’s fruit fully produced in us. Most people are simply going about finding wholeness the wrong way, so they never get it. Even many Christians are more focused on themselves and what they do than they are on Christ and what He has done.
If you are feeling hopelessly lost or anxious about life, look to Jesus. The Father’s intended love and favor over our lives are rooted in Him. If you are in Christ, you have every spiritual blessing along with the power to walk in them. If you are not in Christ, you can desire fullness all you want but you will never have it. Jesus is the only way for any of us to be fulfilled and restored to the true experience of God’s fatherhood and design for our lives.
