TCF Update 12/13/25

Good afternoon church family,

I hope and pray that today you have experienced the grace of the Lord. It may be cold outside, but the Advent season reminds us that the Lord’s heart is infinitely warm towards his children. Join us in the morning at 9:30 for Sunday school classes and at 10:45 as we gather for worship. It will be nice and warm inside of the church building.

Our focus Bible passage for tomorrow is Malachi 2:1-9 as we remember Christ, our faithful high priest who came to us as a humble baby in order to offer himself as the only sacrifice which could possibly save us from our sins. By faith in him we who were once far from God and fully embedded in sin have been set on the track of righteousness. May the Lord grant us grace to see him for who he really is, and to see ourselves for who we truly are, so that we might firmly root ourselves in Christ and His gospel.

The word of God encourages us to always be considering how we might stir one another up to good works (Hebrews 10:24-25). This Christmas season there are a handful of families connected to our church family who could use some extra love. If it is on your heart to help in any way, we have some options. If you would like to donate a gift card from somewhere like Walmart or Target, or if you would like to donate money, we will make sure it gets distributed to those who are in need this Christmas season. If you would like to give towards this cause during church tomorrow, just put Christmas benevolence on the memo line on your check or envelope. May we continue moving together with a heart of service towards one another. May we also remember to pray for one another as the Lord brings people to mind.

Next Sunday (12/21) We will be having our Happy Birthday Jesus party. The children will celebrate together during childrens’ church, and the church is invited to come down to the fellowship hall after service for cake and time to enjoy one another’s company as we celebrate the Lord together. There will also be an adult Sunday School party on Saturday the 20th. Contact Hal for more details about that.

May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you as you rest tonight. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

In His steps,

Pastor Nick
