TCF Update 10/18/25

Good afternoon church family,

I am looking forward to being together with you as we celebrate the Lord’s Day. Join us tomorrow for Sunday School classes and/or prayer group at 9:30am and for Worship Service at 10:45am. Our focus Bible passage for tomorrow is Deuteronomy 6:10-19 as we consider Christ as our Lord who has brought us into new life in his name.

Over the past few weeks we have had several people in our church family who have dealt with various challenges. Hal spent several days in the hospital. Ruben Stampley had knee surgery. The York family and the Cunkle family both experienced the loss of a family member. The Burke family got a cancer diagnosis regarding Esthermarie’s mother and just a few days ago John’s dad ended up in the hospital with a heart issue. There are others also, so be sure to check the prayer list. I share all of this to remind us to be praying for one another. If any of you has a specific need, please don’t hesitate to reach out so that we might do what we can to serve you. Especially pray for these mentioned here, as they could each use a special touch from the Lord. We especially continue to pray for Hal to be healed and we know and believe that the Lord hears our prayers and that he loves our brother and friend.

On October 25th Bethany is hosting the annual community Fall Festival. We have an opportunity through our Serve Coffee ministry to engage people downtown. If you would like to help with that, please let Ryan Stephens know. He is organizing our volunteer crew for that evening. We intend to have games as well as a prayer team there.

We will have a brief meeting after church for anyone who plans to be a part of the trunk or treat at Tulakes.

On October 26th we will have our monthly fellowship meal. Pam Dihmes is organizing this for us and she will have a sign up sheet to pass around on Sunday morning during the service.

If anyone has questions or concerns about anything church related, know that our elders and deacons are always available to you. We want to make sure communication is strong in our body. Know that we are still working out many details since we have come together as one church, and we plan to publish a chart very soon which will show our various active ministries, teams, and the deacons who preside over them.

May the peace of the Lord rest on you today. See you in the morning! I have every confidence that our brightest days are in front of us.

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

Deuteronomy 6:18-19 CSB — “Do what is right and good in the LORD’s sight, so that you may prosper and so that you may enter and possess the good land the LORD your God swore to give your ancestors, “by driving out all your enemies before you, as the LORD has said.”
