Good afternoon church family,
A very happy Saturday to you all! Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day and we have the blessing of gathering together to worship him and to build one another up in our common faith. I look forward to being with you! Our Bible passage for tomorrow is Ephesians 6:14-20 as we continue exploring what it means to do every good endeavor the Lord has prepared for us.
We meet at Tulakes tomorrow, same time as usual. Our prayer group will meet at 9:30am in one of the adult classrooms. Below is an image with an arrow pointing to the door you will enter to find us. We will try to be on the lookout to wave people in too. Worship service will follow at 10:45am.

Tomorrow is the day that we intend to unite our membership together with the people of Tulakes according to our business meeting and vote of affirmation from last Sunday. This will happen towards the end of the service, during the invitation time. If you are a current member of NCF or would like to make your membership official with our church family, you may come forward when I call everyone up and we will stand together while the Tulakes people officially receive us. I believe that this will be a wonderful blessing for everyone, but especially for the people who have been with Tulakes for many years. This will be a wonderful sign of new life and a beautiful display of unity shown by us towards them. Following Jesus is about laying ourselves down, and my heart in this whole process is to be a public display of what that looks like. May we set the pulse for our future together.
Following our service tomorrow, we will have our September fellowship meal. It is also our first official fellowship meal together with the people of Tulakes. Don’t forget to bring something to share with everyone. I believe that we will have a wonderful time together tomorrow!
On September the 28th we intend to have a business meeting at Tulakes right after church to adopt our corporate structure together. We will have more on that tomorrow, but long story short we will be presenting our constitution as well as the new name we have put forth for the combined church. For those who haven’t heard yet, the planned name is Tulakes Covenant Fellowship. The constitution is the same one we previously approved, but with the new name on it.
We will have much to do and much to discuss in the months ahead, but for now let’s keep praying and caring for one another as we have grown accustomed to doing. We have been on an exciting journey for some time now, and that is only going to continue as we watch and see what the Lord is going to do in and through us moving forward.
May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you today. May he grant you rest and peace in him.
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
Ephesians 6:18 CSB — “Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.”
Thank you Pastor Nick!
