Good afternoon church family,
I hope you are having a good Saturday so far. I know I am, and I am enjoying the beautiful weather we are having today.
Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day which means we have the privilege of gathering together to worship him and to build one another up in Christ. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for prayer and at 10:45 a.m. as we gather for worship at Serve. Tomorrow we will continue in Acts Chapter 1 as we go on exploring how Jesus continues to minister through his body, the church.
Last Sunday was a wonderful time together with the people of Tulakes. I really sensed the Lord in our midst, and to be sure he has really shown up to help us through this process. We look forward to our next time together with the people of Tulakes on September 21st. On that day we will also share a fellowship meal together at the Tulakes building. There will be a sign up sheet passed around tomorrow at church in both locations.
The elders would like to invite you to come to church early on September 14th (9:30am) for a special congregational meeting. We will be providing more clarity on our unification together with the people of Tulakes, as well as a timeline for our future plans. We will be asking our members to vote on some critical elements of this process on that day, so please plan to be there if you can.
Let us be in prayer together for Don Land. Don is a member of Tulakes. He has been faithful to help take care of the building and grounds for many years. If you drove by during mowing season there would be a good chance that you would see Don riding around on a lawn mower. He recently had a heart attack and received a pacemaker, but it’s had to go back into the hospital due to some complications. We are praying that the Lord will fully heal him and he will be able to return to his regular daily routine soon. We also pray for his wife Joyce, who has been the bookkeeper for Tulakes and has done a wonderful job helping us with our transition into life together. May the Lord grant her peace and energy to care for her husband.
We are also praying for Jedeiah Cole, son of Jeremiah and Vivian Cole and grandson of Dennis and Sheila Cole. Jedeiah has been admitted to the hospital with a possible bone infection. We are praying that he will be fully healed.
May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you on this beautiful Saturday. May the presence of Christ be real to you, and may he grant you the ability to slow down, to reflect on his goodness toward you, and to rest in Christ’s work on your behalf. Know that you are loved and that you are being prayed for on a regular basis.
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
Acts 1:14 CSB — “They all were continually united in prayer, along with the women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.”
Thank you Pastor Nick! God bless you in all that you do!!!!
