NCF Update 08/23/25

Good afternoon church family,

Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day! I look forward to spending time with you as we honor the Lord through worship and fellowship together. Tomorrow is our August fellowship meal, so don’t forget to bring a favorite back to school dish to share with everyone.

Join us for prayer at 9:30am and for worship at 10:45am. Our focus Bible passage is John 5:17-23. We will be looking at what it means to join Jesus in the work he is doing in the world.

I hope and pray that you have had a good Saturday, and that you have found moments to rest in the goodness of the Lord toward you. The God-ordained practice of Sabbath has the remembrance of the Lord at its core. As God himself paused to enjoy the work which he had done on the seventh day of creation, he invites us to pause and enjoy the fruits of our labor. We remember God and praise him for the blessings he has bestowed upon us as well as the grace with which he has empowered us to accomplish our work. It is a wonderful and life-giving pattern which the Lord has gifted to us. For the Christian, the concept of Sabbath is even greater because we know that in Christ we have a true and ultimate Sabbath rest that will never end. To God be all glory, honor, and praise!

Next Sunday, August 31st, we will again be having a combined worship service at Tulakes. Our previous time together was a great blessing, and I expect that our next time will be also. Please continue to pray as the Lord gives us wisdom and direction on how to move forward with the unification of our two churches into one body for our good, for the good of our city, and ultimately for the glory of Christ.

May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you today. I love and appreciate you all!

In His steps,

Pastor Nick
