Good afternoon church family,
Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day! As such we have the privilege of gathering together as the people of God in order to build one another up to honor the name of Christ. We hope you will join us as we worship the Lord together.
Due to our ongoing plumbing construction work at Serve, we will be gathering at Tulakes Baptist Church (6715 NW 50th St, Bethany, OK 73008) with our friends there. We will meet for prayer in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30am and for worship in the sanctuary at 10:45am, so the times will be as usual for us. This will be our first time together with the people from Tulakes on a Sunday morning. I believe we will be blessed, and I hope everyone will make it a point to be there. Let’s pack the house tomorrow!
Our focus Bible passage for tomorrow is Ephesians 5:15-21 as we look at the Holy Spirit’s instructions through Paul on how to live a life that pleases God. I believe that we will be blessed, challenged, and encouraged by this passage.
Our fellowship meal for the month of August will be on August 24th with the theme being back to school food, highlighting all of our favorites from our school days. Be thinking about what you would like to bring to share with everyone.
I hope and pray that you are having a blessed Saturday, and that you have found time to rest and reflect on the goodness of Jesus in your life. May the Lord grant you his grace and peace as you walk through this day. See you in the morning at Tulakes!
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
Ephesians 5:18-21 CSB — “And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless living, but be filled by the Spirit: speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.”
