Good afternoon Church family,
Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day! What a blessing it is to gather together to bring honor to the name of Jesus and to equip one another to carry out the work he has for us. Tomorrow is a special Sunday together as it is our fellowship meal Sunday. I hope you will plan to join us for lunch after church. Don’t forget to bring something to share if you are able. If not, come anyway. There will be plenty of food and we will be happy to have you with us.
I hope to see you at 9:30am as we gather for prayer. Our service will begin at 10:45am with our lunch together following.
I want to personally thank all of you for your continued prayers and support as we work to forge the path forward for our church with the Holy Spirit’s help. I know that many of you have been praying for me as I’ve walked through a very busy and tactically intense season. I have often felt pressed on various sides, but I can honestly say that throughout these past 7 months or so I have not felt like I was on the verge of burnout. The Lord has sustained me, and I am certain that a huge aspect of that has been your prayers for me.
Everything last Sunday at Tulakes went very well. Now it seems that the door to our growing relationship with the people there is wide open. Over the next weeks and months we are going to have some really fun moments as we get to know the people there and get to know the facilities there too. I’m sure there will be challenges along the way, but the Lord will sustain us as he always has. I am confident that if we are in this together we will make it through and on the other side we will experience a season of refreshing. The Lord is making room to bring more people into New Covenant Fellowship! More room to disciple people is always a positive in my book, and it has been something that we have been praying for fervently for many years now. The Lord is answering our prayers.
We are planning a prayer meeting for Sunday, August 3rd at 5pm. This will be in addition to our normal Sunday morning worship service. It is our intention to meet at the Tulakes building and to invite the Tulakes people and the New Covenant people to pray together that evening. We believe that everything we do must be founded on prayer and true Christian fellowship which centers on Christ. We will have more details when we gather tomorrow, but I wanted to send this out as a save the date to all of you. I hope you will plan to be there. I know that Sunday evenings don’t work for some of us, and I want to assure you that a Sunday morning at the Tulakes building is coming soon. We have dedicated ourselves to taking our time in building a good relational foundation before we move to the next level of fellowship.
May the grace and peace of the Lord be with you all! I would encourage you to continue praying for one another, as I know that many in our fellowship are so very faithful to do. The Lord is moving in and through us, of that I am certain.
I look forward to being with you tomorrow! I will be preaching at Tulakes, but intend to be present with my NCF family for prayer and for the meal. The following Sunday I will be back in the pulpit at New Covenant and our preaching rotation for both groups should be fully in place. See you tomorrow!
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
