Good afternoon church family,

I have a short update for you today. My hope and prayer is that you are having a wonderful weekend and finding time to rest on this beautiful Saturday. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, and we have the privilege of gathering together in His name to honor Him and to build one another up. I hope you will join us at 9:30 am for Fellowship Groups and at 10:45 am for our worship service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our focus passage for tomorrow is Acts 2:1-13. We will be emphasizing how Christ’s power reverses the effects of the fall. The first Pentecost was a clear demonstration of this\u2014essentially serving as the reverse of the Tower of Babel. At Babel, human language was divided and confused, but at Pentecost, people from many nations heard the Apostles preaching in their own native tongues. Christ is redeeming a people for Himself out of every nation, and we have the distinct honor and privilege of joining Him in that work. We have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses in our own community and to the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How wonderful it is to know that each and every one of us has a distinct, beautiful purpose: to bring as many people as we can into Christ’s kingdom with us. This is a calling we can absolutely fulfill if we walk in His power and rely on His strength rather than our own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May the grace and peace of the Lord rest on you today. I truly look forward to being with you in the morning. See you then!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
